You can do amazing things with them. The digits have freed us. Exhibition<\/i><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlongside a series of canvases depicting friends playing cards in his L.A. studio, Hockney is presenting a new type of work that he\u2019s dubbed \u2018photographic drawings\u2019\u2014digital collages he describes as having a \u20183-D effect without the glasses.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/david-hockney-new-digital-work-809005\">The Hollywood Reporter: <\/a><i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/david-hockney-new-digital-work-809005\">David Hockney Makes Triumphant Return to L.A.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/i><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHockney isn\u2019t likely to decamp from Los Angeles any time soon, even though he doesn\u2019t explore the city very open. \u2018All I want to do is work really. I don\u2019t go out much. I don\u2019t go to restaurants. I\u2019m too deaf really. They are too noisy,\u2019 said the artist, \u2018I\u2019ve plenty to do, and I\u2019m doing it.\u2019\"&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kusc.org\/blog\/artsalive\/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10671364\">KUSC:&nbsp;<i>Artist David Hockney Returns to LA for a New Gallery Exhibition<\/i><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHockney himself attended the opening. I asked him about the intersection of images and technology in his work, spanning the decades.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lamag.com\/culturefiles\/david-hockney-goes-3d\/\">Los Angeles Magazine: <i>David Hockney Goes 3-D<\/i><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe reason we have perspective with a vanishing point is that it came from optics,\u201d he writes in the L.A. Louver catalog. \u201cI\u2019m sure that\u2019s what Brunelleschi did.
