Louver, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lalouver.com\/html\/exhibition.cfm?tExhibition_id=557\">\u201cGhost Ship Rodez, The Momo Chronicles.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full tmblr-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"719\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lalouver.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/image-7.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5722\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lalouver.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/image-7.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/www.lalouver.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/image-7-209x300.jpeg 209w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In describing \u201cMomo Lo Mismo,\u201d Terry Allen discussed the inspiration behind this work with LA Weekly writer Shana Nys Dambrot:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A composer starts with just an idea in his head, and he has to turn it into something. That idea could be a picture, a word or a shape \u2014 there\u2019s no difference in the mind. With these video collaborations, you see what you hear and hear what you see. It\u2019s like watching what was in the composer\u2019s head before he started writing.\u201c At L.A. Louver, <em>Terry Allen: Ghost Ship Rodez<\/em> was born of the same synesthesia. Allen uses video-based sculpture, original music and theatrical elements \"as needed\u201d \u2014 in this case, to tell the intensely stormy story of French writer&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.laweekly.com\/related\/to\/Antonin+Artaud\/\" title=\"Antonin Artaud\" data-omni-track=\"Inform-&gt;Click|keyword[Antonin+Artaud]\">Antonin Artaud<\/a>\u2019s transportation by ship to a mental hospital. \u201cI tried to imagine what was going through Artaud\u2019s mind during that voyage.
