Featuring works by 25 artists and filmmakers, <a href=\"http:\/\/broadmuseum.msu.edu\/exhibitions\/future-returns-contemporary-art-china\"><em>Future Returns: Contemporary Art from China<\/em><\/a> explores the increasing shift in China\u2019s cultural landscape from a traditional society into an ultra-modern nation-state. Among the works on view is this sculpture by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lalouver.com\/html\/artist.cfm?tArtist_id=432\">Sui Jianguo<\/a> titled <em>One Cubic Meter of Darkness<\/em>, 2011. A hollow cube constructed from six steel walls, a single small aperture allows viewers to peer into its pitch black interior, creating a sense of physical displacement from a brightly lit room to that of complete and utter darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p2\">The exhibition also includes a work by media artist <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/67556127\">Miao Xiaochun<\/a>, who will be subject of an international <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roguewaveprojects.com\/html\/index.html\"><em>Rogue Wave Projects<\/em><\/a> exhibition at L.A.
