At only 23 years of age, she was first recognized in 2003 for a series of covers she produced for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youthvision.cn\/\">China's&nbsp;<em>Vision<\/em> magazine<\/a>. Featuring stunning Asian models imposed with Chinese elements, Chen Man merged traditional motifs onto modern subjects, creating compositions that venerated the past but were entirely forward in their execution. One work from the <em>Vision&nbsp;<\/em>series,&nbsp;<em>Vision: Year of the Monkey&nbsp;<\/em>(featured above) alludes to the monkey mask, a reference to the 16th century Chinese novel&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Journey_to_the_West\"><em>Journey to the West<\/em><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re excited to be mounting a solo exhibition of Chen Man\u2019s photographs and paintings titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roguewaveprojects.com\/html\/rogue-wave-exhibition.cfm?tExhibition_id=1138\"><em>East-West<\/em><\/a>, on view&nbsp;10 December 2014 - 24 January 2015.
