Celaya describing the works in his upcoming exhibition

“The works bring together images belonging to the imagination of a child — ships, tigers, unicorns, dogs, birds — and images with epic overtones — bullfighters, roses, decapitation, sea, ice, landscape. The friction between these references seem to bring forth surprise, nostalgia, visions of an alternative life, and the difficulty of knowing the difference between the recalled and the real.”

Enrique Martínez Celaya describing the works in his upcoming exhibition at L.A. Louver “The Hunt’s Will,” November 17, 2012 - January 5, 2013.
