The relationship between the arts and food has been retraced and analyzed in the Arts & Foods pavilion of Expo Milan 2015. Located in both the indoor and outdoor areas of La Triennale – 23,000 square feet (7000 square meters) of building and garden space – Arts & Foods focuses on visual, sculptural, object-based and environmental forms centered around food, nutrition, and dining, with objects dating as far back as 1851. Curated by Germano Cellant, the exhibition provides a worldwide overview of the interaction between aesthetics and design in the rituals of eating.
Included in the exhibition is this 1992 sculpture by Ed and Nancy Kienholz titled Useful Art No. 3 (table & chairs).
