Today marks the first day of summer, and the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. 

Kick off the summer with the exhibition David Hockney: Northern Landscapes, opening this weekend at the Nordnorsk Museum in Trømso, Norway (June 23 - September 30, 2012). The exhibition features five watercolors by Hockney, including the work shown above, titled Midnight Sun, Norway, 2003.
