In the midst of today’s Independence Day celebrations, we see imagery of the Statue of Liberty blazoned at every turn. It brings to mind how Nancy Reddin Kienholz envisioned this “beacon of freedom” in her lenticular work “Liberty Valley,” April 3, 2007.
See as the work slightly shifts from the a back view of the Statue of Liberty to the vantage point of a young girl on a desolate road. You can find more of Nancy Reddin Kienholz’s lenticular works from her 2008 L.A. Louver exhibition.
We wish you a safe and happy 4th of July!
