L.A. Louver has acquired a 13,000 square foot warehouse space

In addition to our longstanding gallery space in Venice, CA,  L.A. Louver has also acquired a 13,000 square foot industrial warehouse space in the emerging urban corridor between Culver City and Central Los Angeles. The building provides primary and proprietary art and archival storage for the gallery, as well as unique private viewing opportunities. With ceiling heights of up to 16 feet, and an unobstructed presentation area of 60 x 112 feet, the flexibility of this space is unlimited.

Images above show how the space is being used to stage installations, allowing for works not on exhibition at the gallery, to be viewed in another setting – such as these monumental sculptures by Chinese artist Sui Jianguo. (See Sui’s 2014 solo show at L.A. Louver.)

A smaller sculpture by Sui can be seen in our current 2nd floor gallery exhibition, which brings together works by six acclaimed American and international sculptors. Other artist include Tony Cragg, Richard Deacon, Joel Shapiro, Peter Shelton and Matt Wedel.
