Enjoy an evening with Alison Saar at Art Omi

Tuesday, July 22, 6 PM / Free and open to the public / Q&A to follow / Meet at the Omi Visitors Center, 1405 County Route 22, Ghent, NY

The artist will speak about her outdoor works and public commissions, including her two sculptures, Winter and Summer, which are currently on view at The Fields, Art Omi’s sculpture Park.

The sculptures belong to a four-part series that evoke each season and the cyclical qualities of life. According to Saar, the work is “about, of course, the cycles of nature, but they’re also about the cycles of women–our bodies and their maturations. Additionally, the whole project also came to embody, to me, the cycle of creativity.”
