Chinese photographer and provocateur Chen Man recently granted an interview with art4d.asia for her current exhibition at Metropolitan by COMO, Bangkok’s premiere luxury hotel.
Rarely filmed speaking in English, Chen Man talks about her background in painting and how it informs her photography. She also explains the narratives seen in her work, often taking a contemporary approach to traditional Chinese themes. At only 33 years of age, Chen Man is widely considered one of China’s leading photographers.
