An exhibition of new works by Tony Berlant opens this Thursday, October 30 at L.A. Louver. Titled “Close to Home,” the collaged panels utilize the artist’s own photography of his longtime Santa Monica neighborhood, resulting in some of Berlant’s most intimate and personal works to date.

The work above “One Way or Another,” features the street view from a second story window of his home, that serves as the foundation over which collaged materials of found and fabricated metal tin (secured by small steel brads) takes shape.
