A few days ago we posted images of our prep team skillfully unloading a massive Matt Wedel sculpture into the gallery. After some careful maneuvering, the work has been fully assembled and altogether stands approximately 10 ft (3 m) tall! Pretty impressive considering it is completely made out of clay.

This sculpture is just one of over 20 works included in Matt Wedel’s upcoming exhibition “Sheep’s Head,” opening at L.A. Louver this Thursday, April 11, from 6-8 pm.

If you can’t make the opening, don’t fret! Matt Wedel will be participating in an artist conversation with Christopher Miles at the gallery on Saturday, April 13 at 11 am. The event is free, but reservations are required. Please RSVP to (310) 822-4955 or rsvp@lalouver.com.
