Celebrate Earth Day with these photographic works by Chinese photographer and visual artist, Chen Man. These diptychs are part of her Five Elements series that portrays environmental stewardship through images of both everyday women and divine goddesses, both connected to earth’s natural resources.

An exhibition of Chen Man’s photographs and traditional paintings will be presented this May 2015 at the Imperial Ancestral Palace, one of China’s most historic landmarks and an iconic emblem of the Forbidden City.
