Five years ago today, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art mounted an unprecedented retrospective of work by Charles Garabedian, that spanned over 40 years of his career as an artist. Garabedian, who passed away in February 2016, was a rare talent and an intuitive artist that followed no norms, and this exhibition exemplified that to its fullest.
