With record heat waves hitting the nation, we welcome the warmest season of the year with works that exude the spirit of summer. We begin with this sculpture by Alison Saar appropriately titled Summer, 2011. Commissioned by the Madison Square Park Conservancy, this sculpture belongs to a series of works that reflect the cyclical qualities of the seasons and life.
