David Hockney: Northern Landscapes at the Nordnorsk Museum, Tromsø, Norway is now in its final days and ends on September 30th.
The exhibition was reviewed by art critic Mona Giessing in the Norwegian newspaper Klassekampen. Here is an excerpt:
“A unique exhibition of colorful, stimulating watercolours by the master David Hockney…The exhibition at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum displays five of these considerable watercolors, emphasizing the work Midnight Sun, Norway (2003), which is already acquired for the museum’s collection… Standing in the midst of the room, embraced by these colorful paintings of water and atmosphere, I felt my spirits lifting.” – Mona Giessing, Klassekampen, July 4, 2012
