A departure from her often vividly colored works, these black and white paintings are based on old family photographs and belong to a new series of work titled “Potato Eaters” – the title of which derives from Van Gogh’s seminal work and her own Idahoan heritage. A recent recipient of the Eben Demarest Trust fund award in 2012, the award has given Rebecca full rein to develop ideas for this series, and we’re excited to see what she has in store.
