SNEAK PEEK!

30 Apr 2014

This is just one of the works included in Rina Banerjee’s solo exhibition Disgust, premiering at L.A. Louver on May 8th (opening reception 6-8pm).

Banerjee often ascribes long lyrical titles to her works, and the sculpture featured above is no exception –

Soldier: overseas and out of place his species seeded dead to grow as common place, bore beautiful flowers of wound, carnage discovered a resin sticky like sweat. He had courage and loyality when everyone wept and came home emptied while we slept., 2014

Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing more previews of Banerjee’s sculptures, paintings on panel and works on paper as her exhibition nears…
