A new installation by Michael C. McMillen is now on view at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France. Included in the group show All That Falls, the immersive installation transports you to a different place and time the moment you enter those double doors, making its title quite fitting: The Entropic Taxi; Final Destination. Although the images provide an aesthetic snippet of the installation, they by no means convey the whole experience and the sounds and videos that accompany the viewer throughout the various spaces.
To create the installation, McMillen utilized materials sourced from his Los Angeles studio, that were transported to Paris in an industrial shipping container. An exception is the car, a 1930s Citroën Rosalie McMillen rescued from a French chateau.
The work be will be on view through September 7, 2014.
