'David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture' spans a 50 year period to demonstrate Hockney's long exploration and fascination with the depiction of landscape.

The exhibition includes a display of his iPad drawings and a series of new films produced using 18 cameras, which will be displayed on multiple screens and which will provide a spellbinding visual journey through the eyes of David Hockney. This exhibition will travel to Guggenheim Museum Bilbao 14 May - 30 September 2012, and then to Museum Ludwig Cologne 29 October 2012 - 4 February 2013.

Secret Knowledge: Rediscovering the lost techniques of the Old Masters
328 pages, 510 illustrations, 442 in color
Softcover

Secret Knowledge follows David Hockney through his tireless investigation into revealing the secrets of the Old Masters. Fulfilling his own curiosities of how these historical works were produced without the means of photographic aide, Hockney accounts through scientific and visual evidence, the methodology used by artists such as Caravaggio, Velázquez, van Eyck, Holbein and Ingres, among others.
